Hammond Associates facilitates expansion of charity into Hull

Since 1988, Skippko, an arts project team in Leeds, has been directly engaging in community activity to transform people’s lives: change through creativity. In a 4 year period, Skippko has created 18 programmes of work in 60 communities across 5 northern cities; to resource this work they have generated in excess of £450,000.

Skippko takes on vacant retail and commercial properties, in partnership with local artists / organisations or collectives. They curates these buildings to create local arts project hubs currently in Leeds, York, Bradford, Baildon and soon Hull. Following the success of creating a very large city centre community hub in Bradford (NCP Retail, Hall Ings), Skippko now invites artists, organisations and collectives from Hull and the surrounding region to come to Ferens Court (16/20 Anlaby Road, HU1 2PA) on Saturday 17th June from 2pm to see the various spaces in this fabulous four storey building and discuss with us how they can use this building in the best interests of Hull.

Please turn up on the day, or, if you want further information before hand, please contact:
