TRJFP new outlet in Doncaster

The Real Junk Food Project (TRJFP) has opened a ‘Pay as you feel’ café in Scot Lane in Doncaster. The property acquired by Hammond Associates has turned an empty shuttered shop into a vibrant café hub with presentation and workshop space.

The downstairs café offers hot and cold food and drinks, while the upstairs is used as a meeting room and project space. Outside the group has set up a growing project and with funding from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue they have hired a trailer which is the kitchen for the café. The trailer parking at the back of the premises recently received a 5* hygiene rating from the local authority.

The group also won a Footprint award for sustainability. Members of the public voted for the social enterprise to win the national award. The group campaign to end food waste and highlight the social and environmental injustice, caused by producing more than we need.
